Florian Xhekaj's recall and first regular-season game with his brother in the NHL may turn out to be the emotional boost the Montreal Canadiens need to get out of their five-game losing streak.

Roy was not reassigned to AHL Laval on Friday as previously reported, and he remains with the Canadiens. Montreal's roster is still compliant, so it appears some wires got crossed in the team's previous announcement. Roy will remain in contention for bottom-six minutes as long as he's with the big club.

BROSSARD – The Canadiens announced on Sunday that forward Joshua Roy has been recalled from the Laval Rocket in the American Hockey League. Roy will join the team in Columbus ahead of Monday’s game against the Blue Jackets.
