Dan Meers, the original KC Wolf, is retiring after a 35-year career as the Kansas City Chiefs' mascot and "Director of Shenanigans." Meers' 35-year run as KC Wolf made him the league's longest-tenured mascots by more than 12 years,

“Dan Meers has been the heart and soul behind KC Wolf for 35 years,” Chiefs owner Clark Hunt said. “Since joining the organization in 1990, Dan helped establish KC Wolf not only as a source of energy and enthusiasm on gamedays, but as a symbol of pride and passion for all of Chiefs Kingdom.”

The saga between the state of Missouri and the threat of the Kansas City Chiefs relocating has reached an important step. Per a report from the Associated Press, there have been hundreds of millions of dollars dedicated to convince the Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals from relocating to Kansas.
