One of the main things in roster building now besides recruiting is what a program can do in the transfer portal. Ohio State has historically been somewhat slow to hop on the portal train but gained several key additions (Caleb Downs, Seth McGlaughlin, Quinshon Judkins) in the second window last season.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have been busy in the transfer portal. They were able to add a few major pieces for 2025. One of those pieces was former Purdue Boilermakers' tight end Max Klare. He projects to be a massive part of the Ohio State offense next season.

On the final day before the transfer portal closes, Oklahoma has lost another linebacker. Lewis Carter, a sophomore from Tampa, FL, has announced his intention to leave, according to a Twitter post from On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
