An off-duty San Diego police officer was found dead on the sidewalk outside of a Riverside County jail after he was arrested on suspicion of DUI and released 90 minutes later.

The unidentified patient, believed to be in his mid-40s, was rushed to St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach on June 15.
