Nvidia’s RTX 50-series GPUs are just around the corner, with the first releases — the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 — dropping on January 30th. The RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 will follow that with their own releases in February, but some are already getting a sneak peek at the GPUs’ software benefits through DLSS 4.

Nvidia is finally doing right by gamers with its 5000-series by offering comparable prices for far superior performance.

Nvidia say that they consider the RTX 4090's melting power adapter problem to be long fixed, and it shouldn't reappear on the upcoming RTX 5090 and RTX 5080.

NVIDIA revealed new info surrounding its upcoming RTX 5000 GPUs, including non-DLSS performance. NVIDIA had one of the biggest announcements out of CES 2025, revealing its new 50-series RTX graphics cards. The new GPUs came with some bold claims, including RTX 5070 performance that could match the RTX 4090's power for a fraction of the price.

Priced at $999 (£979 in the UK), the RTX 5080 will likely be one of the more popular options. It won our best of CES 2025 award and even our own Tony Polanco is considering building a gaming PC with an RTX 5080. The downside is that this graphics card could sell out fast when it debuts on January 30.

Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5090 starts at $1,999 before you factor in upsells from the company's partners or price increases driven by scalpers and/or genuine demand. It costs more than my entire gaming PC.
