The 24-year-old completed the course in 1:57.450, more than two seconds ahead of the runner up, Mexico’s Alejandro Elias Gonzalez.

Indian athletes had a brilliant fourth day of the competition, winning 13 medals across four different sports.

Topekan Bekah Henderson has medaled in the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Italy. Henderson won the bronze medal on Thursday in the 50-meter snowshoeing competition, which was held in Turin, Italy.
