A taxicab hit six pedestrians in midtown Manhattan on Wednesday, police said, with three people — including a 9-year-old boy — transported to hospitals for their injuries.

The incident in New York City comes just days after an attack at a Christmas market. On Dec. 20, a Saudi doctor drove his S.U.V into a crowd of people at a market in Magdeburg, Germany, leaving five people killed and over 200 injured.

A total of seven people were reportedly injured in the incident that occurred outside a Macy's department store in midtown Manhattan.
