Jonnu Smith and Mark Andrews currently have the exact same stats. I don't just mean one column I mean all the major stats. They each have 33 targets, 20 receptions, 243 receiving yards, and 5 touchdowns.

Gesicki was mediocre. Go watch gesicki and watch highlights from smith last year. They are completely different players. Jonnu is a YAC monster. He was used as a traditional TE and as an extension of the run game through short screens. McDaniel is going to have fun scheming him up.

Sep 21, 2020 · Jonnu Smith has blown up big time on the last 2 games. Tannehill seems to be throwing the ball a lot as well. Jonnu's targets haven't been crazy (about 5 per game) but he's making plays with those targets. With AJ Brown hurt that's also giving him more looks in the offense. So what do y'all see from him for the rest of the year?

I feel like Jonnu smith is under valued right now. He had a solid year being the second TE on Atlanta and he’s moved to a team with no other TE that threatens his snaps also under a coach who is an offensive guru. While I’ve heard Mcdaniels doesn’t use TEs I believe that’s because he hasn’t had one in Miami.

Jun 1, 2021 · Patriots signed Jonnu first. Gave him the better (at least longer) contract, and Jonnu is that move tight end we know BB loves. In an offense where the WRS leave much to be desired, Jonnu could be a gamechanger but can be had in the 9th round of startups.

Jonnu Smith is TE 10 on the season and has posted PPR lines of 0, 8.7, 8.7, 15.5, 10.7, 13.6, 5.7. Outside of week 1 when he didn't get a single target (only played 24 snaps, can't remember if he was hurt or not) he has been very consistent for a TE. Weeks 2 through 6 he had at least 5 targets and 4 catches a game.

Smith is a freak. If you look at his metrics, he has all the physical tools to excel as a pass-catching tight end. Tennessee needs playmaking receivers beyond A.J. Brown. With Brown hobbled right now, this gives Smith more time and space to establish himself. Tannehill is picking up where he left off from last year.
