On March 11, 2026, the Department of State will publish a final rule requiring Diversity Visa applicants to provide additional passport information when submitting their DV lottery entry. Under the new rule, DV lottery applicants must include: Valid, unexpired passport information A scanned copy of the passport's biographic and signature page This information must be uploaded directly with the electronic DV entry form, unless the applicant qualifies for a specific exemption from the passport req
