This is one of the first videos I shot and I’ve never shared it. We metal detect for float copper in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula using @minelabdetecting Equinox 800 metal detectors. If I would’ve panned out you would’ve still saw patchy snow in the bush. The only downside detecting in early spring is that the holes often are full of snow melt and that water is COLD. Hopefully we can get back out in April rather than May but that all depends on how much snow we get. The truck tailgate at the end s

With 16”-24” of snow predicted in the next 36 hours, I think our detecting is done until late April. Time to start working on making this stuff pretty. This was our little groups best find of 2025. We metal detect for float copper in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula using Minelab Equinox metal detectors. The float copper we find was carried(floated) by the glaciers after the glaciers ripped these pieces of copper from veins of copper in the bedrock. Where they deposited them is where we find them.
