At 14,440 feet Mount Elbert is the highest peak in the Sawatch Range as well as the entire state of Colorado. This 14er trek is difficult but the summit offers incredible views of the surrounding Rocky Mountains. On this 4,500 foot climb there is a ton of elevation gain that puts you above treeline so come prepared.
