Based on Edgar Allan Poe's gothic horror story, HOUSE OF USHER ('60) was public domain when filmmaker Roger Corman pitched the story to American International Pictures – saving the studio on on licensing. With a larger budget, Corman was able to spend more on talent, with one particular A-list actor in mind: Vincent Price. The result was AIP's biggest hit so far, but also the beginning of a beautiful friendship. The following year, Corman, Price, and most of the crew would reunite for THE PIT AN
