Scenic winter views of Silver Lake located along Highway 88 and the Kit Carson Pass. You'll pass by three lakes here, Red Lake, Caples and Silver Lake. A great area for snowshoeing and sight seeing on the way to Kirkwood Mountain Resort about 1.5 hours south of Reno, you take the turn to highway 88 in Minden.
