The Trepak in Act II is a special slice of dance history in and of itself. The choreography is a hold over from our previous versions, created by beloved dancer, choreographer, and teacher Anatole Vilzak who danced with the Mariinsky Theater and Sergei Diaghilev's legendary Ballets Russes. Vilzak taught in SF Ballet School and the company in his later years.
