Members of the public are encouraged to attend and engage with Navy personnel, explore naval vessels, and learn about the vital role of hydrography in maritime safety and environmental protection. Chinese navy ships off South Africa’s coast Cape Town, South Africa - 6 January 2026: Two Chinese naval destroyers have arrived off South Africa’s False Bay Coast. The vessels entered South African territorial waters for drills with other BRICS nations including South Africa, Russia, Iran and others.
